The B&B is housed in a secluded modern villa in breathtakingly beautiful and quiet surrounds. Far from any heavy traffic, the entire house is surrounded by luscious vegetation and gardens. Canalicchio is an area linking the city of Catania with San Gregorio, one of the first few villages nestling in the foothills of the volcano, Etna. This puts us right between the sea and the mountains! The city centre is about 15 minutes away by car or bus, as is the nearest bathing area, the so-called ‘Scogliera', where it is possible to have a refreshing swim in the sea.

Visitors wishing to see Etna (the craters, or the tourist centre at ‘Rifugio Sapienza' - 1300 m above sea level) can reach the volcano in 20 minutes. The main exits for the Messina and Palermo motorways are close by and Taormina is just a 20-minute drive away. There are two double rooms (one with ensuite facilities and a private entrance, the other with the use of an independent bathroom conveniently situated on the same corridor as the room). The third room has 3/4 beds with the use of an external, shared bathroom. The third room has a birds eye view of Catania and the sea from its picture window which is admired by all our visitors. Every room has central heating/air conditioning and TV. All guests have use of the garage and the sun terrace/patio and breakfast includes local specialities.
