The stone villa “La Paggeria " is immersed in a peaceful and quiet setting surrounded by the green of its garden with pine trees , cypresses and olive groves and is only 9 km from Florence and 4 km from Fiesole., 500metres from the parklands of the Medici Villa Demidoff, and 15 km from the Mugello. La Paggeria was restaurated in 1976 and is lived by its owners.
The ancient home has fully maintained all the characteristics of the country house, hence residing here one has the feeling of being in a very familiarand cosy environment.
The house is composed of five double bedrooms all with private bathroom, each with its own particular feature and furnished with utmost care and elegance.It’s furnished with both tipical tuscany and oriental forniture.
From each room and from the terrace ( 200 mq ) one may delight in the enchanting views of Florence and Fiesole. The large living room(45mq)its wide windows overlooking the countryside with fireplace in stone, piano, and a big library section are all at the guests’ disposal.
During the hotter months one may choose to have breakfast served in the “ allori garden “ or on the panoramic terrace.
From the Paggeria it is easy to reach the centre of both Florence and Fiesole thanks to the city bus lines only 100 mt from the house.
In the summer evenings it’s quite enjoyable to dine outside with a typical Tuscan menu served with a good bottle of Chianti wine and to watch the lovely view of the sun setting on the city of Florence. Our guests can enjoy our beautiful Swimming pool and Jacuzzi surrounded by trees and plants and with a scenic view over the hills of Fiesole.
The Paggeria B&B is the perfect place to stay while visiting Florence and Tuscany, offering easy access to the city and a peaceful haven to retire to at the end of your day spent exploring Florence, Chianti, Mugello and all the major sights in Tuscany. At Paggeria you can organize excursions to the nearby horseback riding and visit old castels and secular wine cellars of the zone, whereit can be tasted and be acquired home wines.
Cooking classes with typical Tuscan visit to the farms and wineries of the nearby Mugello and reservations for museums.

Where we are :
Arriving by car from Bologna and the North along the A1 Highway - Exit Barberino del Mugello
Exit at Barberino del Mugello and follow the signs for Borgo San Lorenzo – Vaglia towards Florence along the SS65. You will pass through Vaglia, Fontebuona and Pratolino and shortly thereafter arrive in Montorsoli. Once here, look for the restaurant Le Terrazze situated on the right. Keep going for another 300m and then turn left onto Via di Basciano where you will find La Paggeria at n° 130.
Arriving by car from Rome and the South along the A1 Highway - Exit Firenze Nord
From Genova, Lucca, Livorno on the A11 Highway - Exit Firenze Nord
From Florence's Amerigo Vespucci Airport by car
As you exit the highways, follow signs that indicate "Centro - Rifredi - Careggi", then signs for "Centro - Viali di Circonvallazione". Once you are closer to the center of Florence and on the Viali, start following signs for "Fiesole - Piazza Libertà - Stadio".
Once you arrive in Piazza della Libertà, follow the road to the left of the piazza to go around it and arrive onto Viale Don Minzoni. At the first stoplight on Viale Don Minzoni, turn left to go to "Ponterosso - Via Bolognese" and at the first stoplight turn right and go uphill. The Via Bolognese, also the SS65 road, starts here and you stay on this road and pass through the Florence outskirts of Lastra, Trespiano and Pian di S. Bartolo to arrive into Montorsoli shortly thereafter. After you see the sign of "Montorsoli", turn right into Via di Basciano where you will find La Paggeria at number 130.
Arriving by Bus from the Santa Maria Train Station
At the Santa Maria Novella Train Station take ATAF Bus Number 25A towards Pratolino. Ask the driver to alert you to the bus stop "Montorsoli 1" along the Via Bolognese. The bus stop where you get off is just 20 meters away from Via di Basciano, where La Paggeria is located. The entire ride takes about 20 minutes.
From the B&B La Paggeria, you can also pick up the same bus line back into Florence and to Santa Maria Novella, a good starting point for exploring the city.
Arriving by BUS from the AMERIGO VESPUCCI Florence Airport
To reach La Paggeria from the Florence Airport, you will need to catch the Shuttle Bus "Vola in Bus" from the Airport to Santa Maria Novella train station. From Santa Maria Novella, proceed as described above.
